How to Reach Us

Jaipur is well connected to major Indian cities by road, rail and air.

Road (and getting around Jaipur)

If you are in a car, you can head straight to your destination, but if you are arriving by bus, the main terminus is Sindhi Camp.

Jaipur is surprisingly compact despite looking sprawling on the map. However, the traffic is extremely congested, especially in the old city where tourist vehicles can considerably increase the pressure. This means that you ought to give yourself at least 30 minutes to reach any destination in the city, and at peak times such as during office hours, a little more. The main ways of getting around Jaipur are autos (be prepared to bargain), cycle rickshaws (good for short distances, especially within the old city), radio cabs (good for point-to-point travel), and hotel cab packages (convenient for all-day sightseeing). Having your own transport is convenient for visiting Jaigarh, the Royal Cenotaphs, and other sites that are further away from the city centre.

Rail

There are several stations that service Jaipur, but it is advisable to alight at Jaipur Railway Station. Exit the station from platform 1, as it will be easiest to find transport from this side. Both autos and taxis are available; you can either bargain or use the prepaid services. Alternately, you may wish to use a radio cab service. The Railway Station is about 30 minutes from the City Palace, depending on traffic.

Air

Jaipur airport is called the Sanganer International Airport, and is about a 30 minute drive from the City Palace, which may increase depending on traffic. The easiest way to reach the city is by using a Prepaid or Radio cab service. Please note, there is no shuttle bus service between the city and the airport.
